The Kindergarten program reflects the belief that students are ready to take ownership of their learning. They are involved in the building of their own learning through active methodologies such as Learning Centers whose purpose is to strengthen skills, concepts, and attitudes.Learners work in different groups with individuals of same and different abilities increasing cooperation, sociability and leadership skills. And the Project-Based Learning “PBL” methodology in which students are challenged to research, plan, and organize information in a collaborative way.

In this level we develop attitudes and skills in students that allow them to be future global citizens, committed to the common good of a world society. This is accomplished through a transversality of significant learning based on our international programs and curricula. Our students are in direct contact with leading-edge technological trends through a STEM lab and a robotics program, both customized according to our school’s curriculum. The purpose of our Elementary Level is to set high standards leading our students to face the demands of the future.

Reading comprehension

Spanish department Elementary Motivate the interest for reading and educate readers capable of developing the understanding, use and reflection of texts. Those are our main objectives. In each of the grades, the students read narrative, dramatic and informative texts. They develop the retrieval of information, finding the connection of the read texts with ideas and knowledge from other sources, like experiences and other texts.

They apply what they read to debates, redactions and, portrayals, as a means to learn. The students interact with books and electronic and printed evaluations.

Grammar

Spanish department Elementary We develop skills of the Spanish linguistic system to employ in different social surroundings. The students go from the use of the rules to contextualize grammar and spelling, to exploit lexical families, to use the verb as their principal source of ortographic patterns, to seize upon acustic and visual tricks to write correctly. In this context, we respond upon the doubtful spelling, puntuation, and accentuation. The rules are based on the Real Academia Española.

The purpose is to build committed young people with a global and humanistic vision, enabling them to successfully face the challenges of an increasingly competitive world.

The preparation that the student obtains when entering Middle School, will allow him to be tolerant, respectful, persevering in his achievement of goals and objectives.
